We have been looking at houses and had finally narrowed it down to the one we wanted.  Our plan was to take our time, stay in our apartment until the lease was up and move in around the middle of March.  I let our realtor know our plan and told her to let us know if anyone showed interest in the house so we could speed up the process if needed.  I had decided to lock into a rate after Thanksgiving and get the ball rolling financially this week.  Then the phone call came… it was from Anne (our realtor) telling me someone was preparing to make an offer on the house today!

So, after freaking out for the first few minutes I buckled down and got the wheels in motion.  We got the pre-qualification done and wrote an offer up over lunch.  I went back to work and within minutes of hitting the door, I was called again by Anne.  The sellers wanted to know if we could close by Christmas! Well, I told her yes.  Then the waiting game started.  Anne told us it would take awhile, maybe days, but I was still pretty anxious.  Then unexpectedly I get a call from Anne at around 9 PM and told us our offer had been accepted!!!
